The Team The Green “I” Initiative Foundation (previously known as The Green India Initiative), is proud to announce that International Man Hunt Contest 2010 winner Mr. Peter Menky is supporting TGIIF by accepting for becoming its 'International Green Ambassador'. TGIIF team interacted with the Model of the World 2010 and familiarized him with the countless issues that people in rural India face today.

The most acute issue being the electricity shortage and rising cost of resources in village areas which consist of 30 % of our population. Unable to address their basic needs these shortages further deprive these people from sustainable economic and educational opportunities. Indian economy can achieve a lot more if these people were to be given with proper energy infrastructure and a chance to contribute to skilled labour. TGIIF solves this issue by partnering with donor organizations and developing green projects which provide rural schools and communities with Solar Lanterns, Solar Cookers, Solar Lights, & bio-gas plants. Clean technology protects the environment by providing pollution free and cost effective energy to rural areas for their growth. It was this thought and philosophy that got Mr. Peter Menky interested in the cause.
